ABOUT David & Monica Carlyle Ministries
David & Monica are passionate about advancing the Kingdom of God and lives being Rebuilt, Restored, and Renewed by encountering the power of His presence. Jesus said, "If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me." David and Monica are living this vision through anointed praise and worship, powerful preaching and teaching of the Word with signs, wonders, and miracles following. They are determined to use God's gifting in their ministry to help advance the Kingdom here on earth.
Growing up in the church with his father as pastor, David Carlyle never valued music as a source of interest because of his natural talents in sports. Athletics had always been a dream, passion and hopefully a career endeavor for David. It wasn't until the completion of college in 1990 at Wake Forest University, where David played basketball on a full scholarship, that he felt God redirect the calling of his life. This was no easy road for David but his choice to serve and answer the call of God in his life over the opportunity to play professional basketball brought the blessings and anointing of God into his life. And he has never looked back!
David and Monica have been married for 14 years. They have a six year old daughter named Arden and a two year old son named Judah. David and Monica were both raised in the church and came from families of singers and musicians. Together they were called into full time ministry and left successful careers to pursue this calling. They have both been blessed with unique gifts to offer the body of Christ and when put together make a dynamic team. Together they lead and direct all areas of ministry including praise & worship, choirs, band, worship seminars, and ministering the Word of God. As a couple, they have a strong passion and desire to see nations worship the Lord in spirit and in truth as the word tells us in John 4:23, 24 and when coupled their goals of music ministry to have an impact on the lives of those who hear it no matter what age, creed, color or music style drives them both - they know their music reflects the greatest story ever told.
David and Monica are both accomplished songwriters. They are anointed in their lives for Praise and Worship and know how to flow with Power and the leading of the Holy Spirit to move people to a Higher Level in their worship. In 1997, David released his first solo album entitled "Changing Goals" while on the staff of First Assembly of God in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
David and Monica are presently the Directors of Worship & Arts for Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida and Worship Leaders for Victory Church in Lakeland as well.
For the last 20 years, David has made music an integral part of his life by leading contemporary praise and worship music, directing choirs of up to 125 voices, directing seasonal productions, conducting seminars on worship and directing outreach ministries. David held the position of Music Minister at four different churches. David and Monica both have trained, equipped, mentored and launched hundreds of people into ministry by serving as their pastor.
David and Monica are called to more than the people who are within the four walls of the church. They have a strong anointing and calling for outreach ministries. They have ministered with Christian artists such as Aaron & Jeoffrey, Alvin Slaughter, Dean & Mary Brown, Truth, and the Mississippi Mass Choir. In addition, they have ministered with evangelists Rich Wilkerson, Randy Ruiz, Pat Mesiti of Hillsongs, and John Ragsdale of the "Austin Awakening". In September of 2001, David ministered to thousands of people at Handy Park on the famous Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee. In 2006, David and Monica launched their evangelistic ministry by Advancing the Kingdom of God through Word and Worship.
In January of 2010, David & Monica appeared on TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network) in Miami, Florida as the special musical guest.
After Hurricane Katrina hit Mississippi and New Orleans, their hometown at the time Southaven, MS was flooded with families who had nowhere to go, no hope in site, and struggling daily. David and Monica along with the Cornerstone Worship Band joined together to hold a Katrina Victim Concert in Southaven. They not only brought fun entertainment but food, gifts and a message of hope to these people.
David and Monica could not accomplish everything God has called them to without friends in ministry. Some people may call them partners but to David and Monica they're more than financial supporters they are friends in ministry. David and Monica's transparency in ministry and warmth causes people who support them to really get to know them in a personal way. They love people and value the ones God sends them.
